It's a nice, slow and scenic 35 minute ride (one way) to Lahaina.

Honolulu Zoo's new entrance.

Honolulu Zoo

Love going to the Honolulu Zoo, which is on the Eastern end of Waikiki. It's such a great value for families. There's numerous renovations going on and the finished areas look great! Can't wait for the new elephant exhibit to be completed in December!

Ezogiku Ramen

Ezogiku Ramen has been around for many years and has been one of my favorite places for fried rice. Below is a picture of their pork fried rice set (includes 4 pieces of gyoza). As their name implies they do all sorts of ramen dishes and is well known for it.

They have six locations on Oahu. You can locate your nearest location here:  http://ezogiku.jimdo.com/locations/.

Liliha Bakery

Liliha Bakery is known for many things but I think they are best known for their coco puffs (ono). Personally, I have been fond of their hamburger sandwiches and their hamburger steak plate (pictured). The hamburger patty is homemade and grilled to perfection.

Always expect to wait a few minutes if you plan to eat at the counter or to order from the bakery.  It's a rare occasion when there's no line. If you're ordering from the bakery don't forget to pick a number from the red ticket dispenser.

You can visit their website at www.lilihabakeryhawaii.com to get more information.

Enjoy!
